The Australian Select teams put on strong performances in the Rotary Invitational Track Championships at the renovated Pahrump Valley High School stadium Friday.

Both teams were fifth in the points standings, the girls scoring 88 points and the boys recording 59. Individually, the Aussies had five wins.

Kirby Ellis won the girls' 400-meter dash in 1:01.1; Madeline Bloedel took the triple jump at 32 feet, 9 inches (9.98 meters) and a Down-Under 4x200-meter relay quartet prevailed in 1:51.2.

James Grimm won the boys' 100-meter dash in 0:11.5 and the 200 in 0:23.0.
