Margaret (Peggy) Ellen Eagan Hampton Margaret (Peggy) Ellen Eagan Hampton died suddenly March 28, 2008, after a fall at her home in Crystal. She was born Nov. 23, 1943. She is survived by sons Allen Brown and Carl, Charles and Robert Hampton and 10 grandchildren, who will miss her and carry her in their hearts forever. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Carl Kenneth Hampton Jr., who passed on July 22, 2007, after a long illness. Private services will be held 2 p.m., April 19 at the family home for her friends and family. Her ashes will be mingled with her husband Carl's shortly thereafter. (03/28/2008) ![]() Clarine Shipp Clarine Shipp, 75, passed away April 9, 2008, in Pahrump. She was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Southgate, Calif., and was a 16-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Norwalk, Calif. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was an employee of Saddle West Hotel and Casino for 15 years. Clarine was very proud of her grandson, Wesley, who is serving in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. Sons Earl Wesley (Sharon) Shipp Jr., of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Billy LeRoy Shipp of Iowa City, Iowa; daughters Vickie Lynn Loch of Newport News, Va. and Virginia Lee Abbot of Pahrump; brothers Arlen Joseph Scadlock of Kaysville, Utah and Danial Scadlock of Washington; sister Virginia Thuet of Fountain Valley, Calif.; sister-in-law Shirley Herrell; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Wesley Shipp Sr.; brother William Enard Scadlock; sisters Jeanette Bows and Delsa; great-grandson baby Kolby and best friend Ruby Cairo. Lee Funeral Home and Cremation handled the arrangements. (04/09/2008) ![]() Edward Jackson Edward Britton Jackson went home to our Father on April 12, 2008, in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Coolidge, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 until the end of 1958, spending time in Germany. He was a computer systems engineer for many years until he went back to school to become an attorney. When he and his wife moved to Pahrump six years ago, he started his Imagination Law Office. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was active in the church, holding many different positions. His wife, Glenda Jackson; brother Robert Jackson; sons Daniel (Donna) Jackson, Earl Jackson, Stephen Jackson, Michael (Neca) Calkins; daughters Marilyn (Kim) Schenk and Susan (Ward) Twitchell; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren survive him. He was preceded in death by his father, William Mulkey Jackson; mother, Betty Pearl Britton; sons, David William Jackson and James Lawrence Calkins; daughter, Pamela Jean Calkins and brother, John Richard Jackson. He is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m., April 16 at the LDS church in Pahrump, with service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Bunker's Edenvale Cemetery at 3 p.m. in Las Vegas. (04/12/2008) |
