The Australian Select team will compete today in the Rotary Invitational Track Championships at the renovated Pahrump Valley High School stadium.

The meet begins at 1 p.m. with 19 teams entered, including the touring Aussies. Australian teams traditionally have competed each spring in track and field in the Southwest United States.

Pahrump Valley is the host school, with Nye County rivals Beatty, Tonopah and Round Mountain scheduled to compete.

Also entered are Boulder City, Faith Lutheran and Moapa Valley out of the Southern Nevada Class 3-A League.

Las Vegas Calvary Chapel, Durango, Spring Valley and Trinity International School will be joined by Henderson Basic, Ely White Pine, Indian Springs, Laughlin, Lincoln County and Agassi Prep.
