Ashley Rencher, who now holds Pahrump Valley's discus record, will compete today in the Lewis Invitational at Moapa Valley. Next Friday, the Trojans host the Rotary Invitational.

Pahrump Valley's track team is on the road today to compete in the Lewis Invitational at Moapa Valley High School in Overton.

The competition begins at 3 p.m., with at least 20 schools entered.

The Trojans go to Boulder City for a mid-week meet Tuesday and will be at home April 11 to host the Rotary Invitational, which will have more than 15 teams entered.

Tuesday, the Trojans were at Liberty High School in Henderson, where Foothill and Las Vegas Legacy completed the four-team lineup.

In the girls competition, Foothill had 87 1/2 points, while Pahrump Valley had 68, Legacy 67 1/2 and Liberty 49.

In the boys meet, Foothill had 89, Pahrump Valley 66, Liberty 63 and Legacy 54.

For the Lady Trojans:

Ashley Lindgren won the 100-meter dash in 0:13.3; was second in the 400 in 1:02.8; was second in the long jump at 15 feet, 4 inches;

McKenzie Dean won the 800 in 2:31.3 and the 1600 in 5:42.2;

Tee Tee Hughes won the 100-meter hurdles in 0:16.7;

Ashley Rencher won the shot put at 31-3 1/2; won the discus at 106-3. Rencher's 111-foot effort at the Las Vegas Classic last weekend is a PVHS discus record.

For the Pahrump Valley boys:

Ande Floyd was second in the 200 in 0:24.0;

Sergio Castro was second in the 400 in 0:52.4; was second in the 800 in 2:15.7;

The Trojans were second in the 4x100 relay in 0:45.5;

Kyle Mills won the long jump at 20 feet, 1 1/2 inches; was second in the triple jump at 45-6 1/2;

Eric Chapman won the pole vault at 11-6, and

Joe Colucci was second in the discus at 117-4.

NOTES -- The Trojans' remaining schedule: April 16, at Las Vegas Sierra Vista; April 25, at the Resler Invitational in Boulder City and May 3, at The Meadows Invitational in Las Vegas ... The Class 3-A regionals are May 9-10 at Overton, with the state meet at Damonte Ranch in Reno May 16-17.
