Virginia Nitsche

Virginia Nitsche, 77, passed away March 24, 2008, in Las Vegas.

She was born Sept. 16, 1930, in California and was a one-year resident of Pahrump.

She was a secretary in the medical field, a member of the VFW and Eastern Star.

Her son Kirt Nitsche of Arizona; daughters Denise Nitsche of Washington and Samantha Nitsche of Arizona; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; son-in-law Danny Lasley and many friends survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Nitsche.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on April 5, 2008.

She will be missed by family and friends.

J.C. 'Jack' Cochran

J.C. "Jack" Cochran, 83, passed away April 1, 2008, in Pahrump.

He was born Aug. 5, 1924, in Jay, Okla., and was a resident of Pahrump for 18 years, having come from Lancaster, Calif.

He was an engine man, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and of the Baptist faith.

"Jack" was a member of the VFW and Chief Petty Officer Association.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

His wife of 46 years, Beverly Cochran; sons Donald Paul Cochran and Thomas E. Adams; brother Darwin Cochran; sisters Virginia Petko and Leota Silcox; grandchildren Jessica, Nicholas, Ashley, Ryan and Jason and many nephews, nieces and friends survive him.

A viewing will be held 10-11 a.m., April 4 at Lee Funeral Home Chapel and burial will be at 11:15 a.m. in the Chief Tecopa Cemetery. (04/01/2008)
