Video nabs man robbing store
By CHRISTINA EICHELKRAUT
Adrian L. Ringo, 19, was arrested Sept. 17 after allegedly taking part in a robbery at the Horizon Market convenience store at 840 E. Highway 372. Deputies were dispatched to the business after being advised that a robbery at gunpoint had occurred. Upon arriving, they were assisted by Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper McNeal in securing and processing the scene. Cashier Anika Smith told the officers that her manager was on the way so surveillance footage could be viewed. Once the tapes were rolling, both citizens and deputies identified one of the perpetrators as Ringo, who was accompanied by two unknown African American males. K-9 deputies were then brought to the scene and followed their noses to a residence on Bourbon Street which, according to the sheriff's office, Ringo was known to frequent. While he was being searched, some of the money that was allegedly stolen from the store was found on Ringo's person. The weapon used in the robbery, however, was not located. Ringo was arrested and booked on charges of robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary. His bail was set at $30,000. |
