The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association announced league alignments for the 2008-2009 through 2011-2012 school years. Schools in bold face from Nye County:

CLASS A

Northern (Northeast/East): Austin; Carlin; Eureka; Jackpot; McDermitt; Owyhee; Wells.

Northern (Northwest/West): Coleville, Calif.; Excel Christian; Gabbs; Gerlach; Legacy Christian; Pyramid Lake; Sage Ridge; Sierra Lutheran; Smith Valley; Virginia City.

Southern (Central): Beatty; Henderson International School; Indian Springs; Lund; Round Mountain; Spring Mountain; Tonopah.

Southern (South): Lake Mead Christian Academy; Pahranagat Valley Alamo; Las Vegas Trinity Christian; Sandy Valley (tentative).

Independents: Sky View Academy; Adelson School; Agassi Prep; Amargosa Valley Horizon Academy (tentative).
