PV booters 1-0-1 vs. Boulder CityPVT
Pahrump Valley's boys raced to a 5-3 victory against homestanding Boulder City, in a Southern Nevada Class 3-A League soccer game Thursday. At Pahrump Valley, Boulder City scored a goal with less than a minute left to give the Lady Eagles a 2-2 tie with the Trojans. Pahrump Valley's boys, who played a league game at Lake Mead Christian Academy Thursday and is at home against Ely White Pine Saturday (noon), moved to 2-0 in the league and 5-0 in all matches this fall. Coach Gene Smith's team got three goals from Daimon Nelson, who now has 12 this season. The Trojans' Iggy Wagner and Steven Manley scored one each against the Eagles. Alex Fonseca, Kyle Mills and Nelson came up with assists. Boulder City led 1-0 at halftime, but two goals within three minutes by Brittany Orr gave Pahrump Valley a 2-1 lead. The Eagles used a foul and a free kick to set up their tying goal with 50 seconds left in the game. The Lady Trojans travel to White Pine Saturday (noon). NOTES -- The Pahrump Valley boys play at Las Vegas Faith Lutheran Tuesday; at home against Las Vegas the Meadows Thursday, and at Overton Moapa Valley Sept. 29 in league games ...
