Pahrump Valley's No. 4 and 5 players -- Hailey Forry and Meghan Morales -- salvaged a Southern Nevada Class 3-A League golf victory for the Lady Trojans Thursday, at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Forry had 93 and Morales 102 for the Lady Trojans, who survived their closest match yet this season to extend their unbeaten streak to four matches this fall.

Pahrump Valley shot 491 to win by just 22 strokes against ever-improving Mesquite Virgin Valley (513). Las Vegas Faith Lutheran had 580, while Boulder City and Overton Moapa Valley did not have team scores.

Pahrump Valley's first three players finished with a total of 296 (Courtney Salmon 95, Ashley Keller 98, Jasper Biggs 103), while Virgin Valley's top three (Samantha Bulloch 91, Amanda Bulloch 99, and Felisha Baeza 94) had 284.

But the Bulldogs' Hannah Bulloch and Merlin John finished with 107 and 122, respectively. That 229 total yielded the match to the Trojans, thanks to the 196 of Forry and Morales.

Shawn Haggerty had 100 and Ashley Lacher 103 for Faith Lutheran, which had a five-girl lineup complete a match for just the second time this season. Rachel Aaron had 111, Anissa Hall 124 and Remi Turok 142 for the Crusaders.

For Boulder City -- which could be a threat if it can find a solid No. 5 player -- Margot Potter had 94, Ashley Vince 97, Bethany Smikth 105 and Bridget Ward 116.

Only one Moapa Valley player started and was disqualified.

In the team standings after four matches, PVHS has 40 points, with Virgin Valley at 36 and Faith Lutheran 16. Boulder City and Moapa Valley have no team points.

The next league match is at Mountain Falls Thursday, starting at 11 a.m. Remaining regular-season matches are Sept. 27 at Boulder City and Oct. 4 at Mesquite.

In the player of the year standings, Samantha Bulloch is ranked No. 1 with 44.5 points .... No. 2 is Courtney Salmon with 37.5, and at No. 3 is Ashley Keller at 36 ... The top 10 include Hailey Forry, 34; Amanda Bulloch, 29.5; Margot Potter, 28.5; Jasper Biggs, 25; Felisha Baeza, 24.5; Ashley Vince, 24, and Shawn Haggerty, 15.
