Safe Place is having its second annual Guns & Hoses flag football fund-raiser.

Be a part in helping the youth of Pahrump and cheering on the Nye County Sheriff's Office and Nye County Fire and Rescue of Pahrump.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Pahrump Valley High School football field. Once again the Pahrump Valley High School band will lead the pregame parade with ROTC Color Guards, Pop Warner cheerleaders, the Sharks, the Rush, the Trojans, Salvation Army's Color Guards, Boy and Girl Scouts Troop 216, Pack 808 and Troop 808.

Miss Nevada Pre Teen Jordan McCutcheon, and many more in our community will follow.

There will be concession stands of a variety of foods, snacks and drinks.

Tickets are $6 or $5 if you bring your can foods to help support Salvation Army's Thanksgiving food giveaway.

For more information on donations, volunteering, concession stand availability or to join us in our pre-game parade, contact Brenda Magruder, program coordinator of the Safe Place program of Pahrump, 775-291-3554.

Safe Places are sites in public locations where youth in crisis can get immediate help and support.

Tickets are available at Got Game? Sporting Goods Store, 2220 Nevada West Blvd., Suite 4, off of Highway 160 (behind Quizons) and Pahrump Valley High School Band members.
