The answers are literally blowing in the wind for Rosemary Clarke Middle School students.

Students at Rosemary Clarke Elementary School will be learning about alternative energy in a very hands-on way thanks to a new wind turbine that was installed at the school.

The Nye County School District, in conjunction with Valley Electric Association, purchased the turbine using grant money from the Nevada State Energy Office.

The actual installation of the Skystream wind generator was accomplished with the assistance of H & S Concrete and E-Z Wind & Solar.

The windmill converts kinetic energy from the wind into electricity that can be used in a home's electrical system.

The Skystream is the first all-inclusive wind generator with controls and the inverter built directly into the unit.
