PV boys prevail in cross country

Pahrump Valley's boys' cross country team won a meet at Indian Springs Tuesday.

The Trojans had 20 points, with Las Vegas Mojave at 50 and Las Vegas Western at 66. Indian Springs had just two runners compete in the 3.1-mile race.

The Trojans' David Jacobi was second in 21 minutes, 59 seconds. James Lucas was third in 22:13, Ryan Howard fourth in 22:17; David Binderim fifth in 22:31, and Alex Anderson sixth in 23:20.

Mike Evans of Mojave won in 19:59.

Also running for coach Andy Andersen's team were Connor Chenevert, Dylan Dance, Noah Poulos, Josh Armendariz, and Ben Rencher.

In the girls' race, Pahrump Valley edged Western 25-to-30.

McKenzie Dean of the Trojans was first in 23:24, with Stephanie Andros third in 27:25.
