Nicholas Johnson, 25, was arrested Monday, Sept. 10, and booked on the charge of lewdness with a child under 14 after he voluntarily went to the sheriff's office for an interview regarding an investigation into the incident.

An investigation by sheriff's deputies revealed that the day before his arrest, Johnson had allegedly forcefully pulled a 7-year-old female into the shower with him and masturbated in front of the victim.

According to the sheriff's office, he then partially undressed the child and attempted to have intercourse with her.

The victim's father reportedly broke down the door of the residence where the incident occurred and saw the child with her dress pulled over her head.

There was also a 3-year-old male inside the residence at the time, the sheriff's office reported.

Johnson was arrested after his interview by detectives and is being held on $10,000 bail.
