The auditions for this year's Idol Competition, part of the Pahrump Fall Festival, are happening this Sunday and Monday at the Bob Ruud Community Center.

Hopeful participants should come prepared with just their music, preferably in karaoke version.

Summer Medrano, the entertainment chairman, said, "We don't want dancers or stage props of any sort at the auditions. They just need to bring their music on a CD."

The youth division is for ages 16 and under and the adult division has no age limit.

Auditions will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 6 p.m. until they finish Monday.

The on-stage presentation of the Idol Competition will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.

The finale and announcement of the winner will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
