Courtney Salmon of Pahrump Valley had her first career hole-in-one as the Lady Trojans won a Southern Nevada Class 3-A League golf match Thursday, at Palm Valley in Las Vegas.

Courtney Salmon shot her first career hole-in-one and Pahrump Valley remained undefeated in Southern Nevada Class 3-A League girls' golf, in a match played Thursday at Palm Valley in Summerlin, the site of the 2007 state championship tournament.

Salmon had her ace on the par 3, 147-yard No. 12 at Palm Valley, a par 72, 5,502-yard course.

The Lady Trojans moved to 3-0 in league matches by shooting 484, with Mesquite Virgin Valley at 517. Las Vegas Faith Lutheran, Boulder City and Overton Moapa Valley did not have enough players to qualify as teams.

For coach Julie Floyd's team, Salmon finished with 85, with Ashley Keller at 96, Jasper Biggs 97, Hailey Forry 100, and Meghan Morales 106. Sierra Fitzgibbons had 116 and Shyanne Dixon 120 in non-scoring rounds.

For Virgin Valley, Samantha Bulloch had 83 to claim medalist honors. Amanda Bulloch added 98, Felisha Baeza 101, Hannah Bulloch 112 and Merlin John 123. Dru Zolman had 134.

For Faith Lutheran, Shawn Haggerty had 104, Ashley Lacher 109, Anissa Hall 131 and Remi Turok 133. Rachel Aaron did not finish.

For Boulder City, Ashley Vince had 101, Margot Potter 102, Bethany Smith 118 and Bridget Ward 121.

Haley Causey had 124 and Amanda Jacobmyers 143 for Moapa Valley.

In the team standings, Pahrump Valley has 30 points, with Virgin Valley at 27. Faith Lutheran has eight points, placing only once as a team. Moapa Valley and Boulder City have yet to qualify as teams.

In the player of the year standings, Samantha Bulloch is first with 32.5 points. Ashley Keller has 309 and Courtney Salmon is at 29.5. Amanda Bulloch has 24.5 and completing the top five are Hailey Forry and Jasper Biggs, each with 23 points.

Margot Potter has 19, Ashley Vince 17, Felisha Baeza 15, and Shawn Haggerty 11 to complete the top 10.

The league teams play at Boulder Creek Thursday.
