Nevprep.com debuts ratings in prep football

SPECIAL TO THE PVT

The Web site, nevprep.com, debuted its high school football power ratings Monday.

Class 4-A is not included in these ratings.

Said Herb Hall, the Web site owner-editor-writer, "I'll be honest. I hate rankings, especially when you're talking about teams that haven't played each other and in some cases won't play each other until the playoffs.

"But," said Hall, "I know everyone else (except coaches, who hate them, too) likes to look at them and complain about what's wrong ... and right."

If you disagree, send your rankings -- and opinions -- to nevadaprep@wildblue.com, before today at 6 p.m.

The rankings, listed are the school, record, and next opponent: Southern teams in bold face.
