Wes and Tainaelg Petticrew

Wesley "Wes" and Tainaelg "Tynell" Petticrew celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary on Sept. 1 with friends and family during a barbecue at their home.

They were married Sept. 6, 1997 in Pahrump and have resided in the valley ever since.

Rudy and Sydney Waggoner

Long-time residents, Rudy and Sydney Waggoner are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Sept. 6, 1957, in Port Hueneme, Calif.

Rudy is retired from the Marine Corps and Sydney is a retired bookkeeper.

They have three sons, Barry (Debbie), Scott (Terri) and Lance (Beckie) and Sydney Rene (deceased) and six grandsons; Jordan, Nate, Lewy, Ben, Jessie and Noah.

A surprise party was held on Sept. 1 and all the family came. Son, Lance and his wife were the surprise guests and had traveled all the way from Ohio.
