Hailey Forry shot a career-best 86 Thursday, helping Pahrump Valley's girls' golf team win a Southern Nevada Class 3-A League match, at Casa Blanca in Mesquite.

The two-time defending Nevada 3-A champion Lady Trojans shot 478, while host Virgin Valley, the only other league team to have all five players finish, had 543.

Las Vegas Faith Lutheran had two starters fail to complete the 18-hole match. Boulder City had only four players, while Overton Moapa Valley had just two.

The Pahrump Valley girls are 2-0 in the league, with a cumulative score of 947 for 36 holes.

For the Trojans, Courtney Salmon had 95, Ashley Keller 96, Jasper Biggs 98, Sierra Fitzgibbons 103, and Meghan Morales 105.

Samantha Bulloch had 91, Amanda Bulloch 99, Felisha Baeza 101, Hannah Bulloch 111 and Dru Zolman 131 for Virgin Valley.

For Faith Lutheran, Shawn Haggerty shot 99, Ashley Lacher 113 and Rachel Aaron 128. Gina Reighard and Remi Turok did not finish.

For Boulder City, Margot Potter had 93, Ashley Vince 101, Bethany Smith 113 and Bridget Ward 123. Haley Causey had 130 and Amanda Jacobmyers 139 for Moapa Valley.

In the team standings, Pahrump Valley is first with 20 points, while Virgin Valley has 18. Faith Lutheran has eight, but Boulder City and Moapa Valley have yet to field complete teams.

In the player of the year standings, Samantha Bulloch is first with 20.5 points. Ashley Keller has 20, with Courtney Salmon at 18.5. Amanda Bulloch has 16.5, Hailey Forry 16, Margot Potter 15, Jasper Biggs 14, Ashley Vince 11.5, Felisha Baeza 9.5 and Shawn Haggerty 8.

Meghan Morales is 11th with 4.5 points, and Sierra Fitzgibbons is tied with six other girls for 12th with four points.

NOTES -- Pahrump Valley and the rest of the 3-A league teams gather in Las Vegas Thursday to play a match hosted by Faith Lutheran. Tee time is noon. The Trojans play at Boulder City Sept. 13, before returning to Mountain Falls Sept. 20 ... The Palms, in Mesquite, will host the 3-A Southern regionals Oct. 11 ... The state tournament will be contested Oct. 16-17 at Palm Valley in Las Vegas, with Faith Lutheran the host school.
