Pahrump Valley's boys' soccer team taught visiting Lake Mead Christian Academy a basic lesson Thursday: You can't beat, what you can't catch.

The speedier and slicker Trojans raced past the Eagles 10-0 in a Southern Nevada Class 3-A League game, moving their record to 10-2.

Tyler Raymer and Erik Rodriguez-Lau scored two goals each against Lake Mead. Adding one each were Iggy Wagner, John McHugh, Martin Apolinar, Alex Fonseca, Sergio Castro and Daimon Nelson.

Goalkeeper Shane Lindemann got the shutout for coach Gene Smith's team.

Pahrump Valley, which played league-leading and undefeated Las Vegas Faith Lutheran (12-0) Tuesday, will conclude the regular season at home Thursday against Mesquite Virgin Valley (2:30 p.m.).

The girls' soccer team is at home against Virgin Valley Thursday, after it faced Faith Lutheran Tuesday. On Monday, the PV girls, now 4-1-2 in the league, are tentatively slated to play Moapa Valley at the Wilson Complex.

The Southern regionals are Nov. 1 and 3 at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex on the Cimarron-Memorial High School campus in Las Vegas. The top four teams qualify for the semifinal games, to be played in both boys' and girls' divisions Nov. 1.
