NO-LIMIT POKER Tillett wins Nugget free-roll tournamentPVT
Troy Tillett won the October World Series of Poker qualifier at the Nugget, beating 41 opponents in the no-limit Texas hold'em tournament Saturday. Lytle, a poker dealer at the Nugget, defeated another dealer, Doug Gregory, to earn 10 points and the winner's share of a $2,100 jackpot. Completing the top five were Jim Vickers, Ron Kaltenbach and Patti Franzen. A 30-player line-up will compete in February for one of five $2,000 seats for the 2008 World Series of Poker, to be held in the All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Players qualify for a free roll by completing 40 or more hours of live play in a calendar month. The next free roll is Nov. 10, with Oct. 31 the cutoff date.
