Boys' soccer team at home ThursdayPVT
Less than two weeks remain in the Southern Nevada Class 3-A League soccer season, with the Pahrump Valley boys' and girls' teams solidly in contention for playoff berths. Coach Gene Smith's boys, 6-2, played at Mesquite Virgin Valley (0-6) Tuesday; will be at home at 2:30 p.m. Thursday against Lake Mead Christian Academy (3-5-1); host league-leading Las Vegas Faith Lutheran (8-0) Oct. 23, and conclude the pre-playoff campaign at home against Boulder City (4-4-1 ) Oct. 25. In the girls' division, coach Greg Leseberg's team is 3-1-2, with games remaining against Faith Lutheran, there Oct. 23; at home vs. Virgin Valley Oct. 25 and Overton Moapa Valley, at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex on the Cimarron-Memorial High School campus in Las Vegas, Oct. 29 The regionals are Nov. 1 and 3 at the Wilson Complex, with the top four boys' and girls' teams qualifying for the semifinals. |
