Heather Booth, 23, was found by Pahrump Search and Rescue after abandoning her car about six miles up on Wheeler Pass Road late Monday night.

At approximately 6:15 a.m. the next day, the sheriff's office dispatched Search and Rescue team to find Booth and the search began.

It was only a little after 10 a.m. when the nine-member team discovered Booth sitting on the ground about three miles from the vehicle.

Booth was reportedly disoriented and suffering from a mental breakdown due to a recent break-up in a relationship.

Although she was uninjured, due to her questionable mental state Booth was taken into protective custody.

A helicopter from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department also assisted in the search.
