Louise Reisdorf

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Louise Reisdorf, on Sept. 30, 2007, at the incredibly young age of 96.

She was born to Alexander and Fannie Elias on Nov. 25, 1910 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the third of four children. She met and married her only love, Anthony (Tony) Reisdorf in Brooklyn on April 25, 1932.

She resided in New York until her move to Simi Valley, Calif. in 1961, where she lived until moving to Pahrump in 1998. She spent her time between Pahrump and Simi Valley.

She loved to crochet afghans and gave them away to family and friends and even to strangers that crossed her path.

She was a lover of her pets and everyone else's pets and treated them lovingly and was completely devoted to them.

Her favorite TV shows were Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, which she seldom missed watching and her next favorite thing was pulling the handles on the slot machines in Vegas and Pahrump.

She attended Centerpoint Church until she could no longer go.

Her daughters Dorothy (John) McHugh, Lorraine (Freddie) De Santis (whom she called "her angel"); daughter-in-law Joyce Reisdorf; grandchildren Dawn Marie (Bob) Chirigotis, Christopher (Sheila) Cilibrasi, Robyn (Kevin) Hall, Daryn (Agim) Rexhepi, Lynn (Scott) Holt, and Lisa Reisdorf; nine great-grandchildren Brenda, Jessica, Laurel, Megan, Nicky, Ashley, Cameron, Tyler and Leah; many friends and neighbors, both here and in Simi Valley including her neighbor Bert, survive her.

Her devoted and loving husband Anthony (Tony); son Phillip; granddaughter Roxanne Reisdorf and a great-granddaughter Kathleen Holt preceded her in death.

She lived a full, rich and happy life surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside funeral services will be held in Simi Valley, Calif. at Assumption Cemetery assisted by the Rose Family Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Centerpoint Church and/or a local senior aging organization. (09/30/07)
