Beatty's girls defeated visiting Las Vegas Calvary Chapel 27-26 Monday, but the Hornet boys fell 66-36 to the Lions, in 2007-2008 basketball season openers.

Tuesday night, the boys were at home again, playing Amargosa Valley Horizon Academy.
