Roach bowls 803 series

Nocky Roach, competing in the Coffee League at the Pahrump Nugget, bowled an 803 series Nov. 7, including games of 289, 246 and 268.

Roach bowled 10 consecutive strikes before getting a nine-spare to compete the 289 game.

Homeschoolers sign-up slated

The Pahrump Homeschooling Bowling League is registering children 3-17 for a season that begins Jan. 4, 2008.

First-day action will start at 9 a.m., with the season running for 10 weeks.

The cost is $65 per bowler and includes two games bowled each week; bowling shoes, a pizza party and an awards ceremony on the final day.
