CARLIN DOMINATED 54-20 AT RENO: Tonopah wins 1-A state title
RENO -- In 2004, Tonopah left Class 2-A, where 11-man football is played, to become a member of the Nevada Class A Central Division. Which meant the Muckers had to make the difficult transition from a slug-it-out-in-the-trenches attack to the wide-open, fast-break eight-man style -- with just one preseason to prepare .

Pirates rout Bulldogs; win 3-A football title
LAS VEGAS -- After losing to Mesquite Virgin Valley at Overton on the final day of the regular season, Moapa Valley football coach Brent Lewis said his Pirates had the athletes capable of beating the defending Nevada Class 3-A champion Bulldogs.
