Pahrump woman dies in California
By MARK SMITH
PANAMINT SPRINGS, Calif. -- A Pahrump woman died late on the afternoon of Nov. 19 when the car she was driving went out of control and flipped at least six times. Sandra Lee Gray, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene. She reportedly had been driving south of Minetta Road on Panamint Valley Road at about 65 mph, said Trooper Yates, when her Chevy Cavalier drifted across the pavement and off the east side. Gray apparently over-corrected and turned abruptly to the right, at which point she lost control. When the vehicle drifted off the west side, it rolled and ejected Gray. Passenger Philip Jason Head, 43, was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center by Mercy Air to be treated for a complaint of pain to his chest. |
