Nine people, two with critical injuries, had to be extricated from their vehicles Saturday evening after a T-bone collision on Lola Lane and Simkins Road left them trapped.

Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Service was dispatched to the area at 5 p.m. and extricated seven of the nine total people involved from the two vehicles.

All nine were transported to Desert View Regional Medical Center, two with critical injuries.

Fire Chief Scott Lewis said the rescue workers operated "like clockwork."

"Everyone did their job and got everyone triaged quickly," Lewis said.
