F. Louis Sulsberger, national president of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, will visit Pahrump Elks Lodge No. 2796 during the Nevada State Elks Association mid-term convention Nov. 15-18 at the Bob Ruud Community Center.
Sulsberger, of Flora, Ill., the Elks' Grand Exalted Ruler, will meet with state and local Elks members to congratulate them on their many successful charitable and patriotic accomplishments in their communities.
"The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is a terrific organization," Sulsberger said in a prepared statement. "Each day more than 1 million members find new ways of helping others. By providing college scholarships to bright students, helping disabled children and lending comfort to our nation's great veterans, Elks lodges across the country make positive changes in their communities."
Sulsberger will be honored at the Pahrump Lodge during a special dinner banquet Nov. 17. Prior to the reception he will present certificates of appreciation to Elks members who have reached milestones of giving to the Elks National Foundation, the national focal point of the order's charitable and service program.
