Darius Koklas, 37, pleaded not guilty to one charge of murder with a deadly weapon in Fifth District Court on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

He is scheduled to appear in court for a two-day trial in February.

Koklas is being charged for allegedly shooting his brother, Derek Koklas, twice with a shotgun in August.

He was arrested about an hour and a half after the incident by sheriff's office deputies after leaving the scene in his car.

The shooting occurred in the living room of the house where Phyllis Koklas, the boys' mother, lived with her two sons.
