The resource centers will include representatives from Consumer Credit Counseling, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Nevada Fair Housing, Wells Fargo Bank, Housing for Nevada, Countrywide, Mortgage Bankers Association, Bank of America, and Washington Mutual Bank. The traveling resource center will be at the Pahrump Community Library from noon to 2 p.m., Nov. 30 at the end of the five county tour. They will be at the Clark County Library, at 1401 E. Flamingo Rd. in Las Vegas, from noon to 2 p.m., Nov. 29. The counselors are visiting counties where the foreclosure rates have increased 100 to 300 percent in the past two years. Gov. Jim Gibbons announced the launch of a Web site to help Nevadans who may be facing foreclosure,www.foreclosurehelp.nv.gov. It is designed as a one-stop location on line where consumers can obtain information on foreclosure, including whom to call for specific help, Gibbons said. |
