The Pahrump Valley American Legion baseball team opens its Silver Division season June 2 at Eldorado High School in Las Vegas, playing back-to-back games against Green Valley (5 p.m.) and Henderson Foothill (8 p.m.).

Pahrump will be at Honeysuckle Park June 11 to play Las Vegas Calvary Chapel. The Lions' high school team won the Nevada Class A championship last weekend.

Subsequent games are June 24 at Vo-Tech (Cheyenne and Legacy), June 27 at Pahrump (Liberty), June 28 at Faith Lutheran (Palo Verde and Faith Lutheran).

Also, July 6 at Honeysuckle (Sierra Vista), July 7 at Rivera Park (Western and Rancho), July 9 at Centennial (Shadow Ridge and Centennial), July 11 at Honeysuckle (Del Sol), July 12 at Eldorado (Desert Pines and Eldorado), July 18 at Pahrump (Arbor View), and July 24 at Peccole Park (Durango and Bishop Gorman).

Doubleheader starting times are 5 and 8 p.m.

The Silver Division has a post-season tournament, with sites, pairings and times to be determined. Teams qualify for the playoffs through their regular-season records.

Pahrump was 11-13 in the 2006 campaign, its first in the Silver Division.

The season opens May 29, with games at Arbor View, Henderson Warren-Walker, Centennial, Chaparral, Cheyenne, Legacy, and Shadow Ridge.

The regular season concludes July 28, with contests at Chaparral, Legacy, Rivera Park, and Vo-Tech.
