A medical expense account has been set up at Bank of America for Traci Baarsma.

She is the daughter of long-time Pahrump residents Jim and Jo Thorne, and is a graduate of Pahrump Valley High School and has many friends and family here.

Baarsma has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is facing major medical expenses. Because her insurance is running out, financial help is sought, said Mary K. Haase.

She has a long, tough battle ahead of her and any donations at all would be greatly appreciated.
