Donald Hickson, 41, of Pahrump, was arrested and booked on a number of charges after allegedly being involved in a particularly violent domestic assault at 1270 W. Hardy Lane.

Upon arriving at the residence, sheriff's deputies reported they heard screaming coming from inside.

Deputies entered the residence and took Hickson into custody.

They also found Patricia Lapp, 45, who had sustained several injuries to her face and mouth.

Lapp was transported to Desert View Regional Medical Center and treated for her injuries.

The victim told deputies that while fighting with Hickson he punched her repeatedly in the face and threatened to kill her with a firearm.

When she attempted to call 911, Lapp reportedly said Hickson beat her with the phone and prevented her from leaving the bedroom.

Lapp also reportedly said she lost consciousness.

Hickson was booked on charges of kidnapping with substantial bodily harm, domestic battery with substantial bodily harm, preventing a victim from reporting a crime, assault with a deadly weapon, interruption of 911, mayhem, prevention of crime from being reported, and false imprisonment.

His bail is set at $364,850.
