Residents' panel taking applications
The Pahrump Town Board will begin accepting applications from the public for service on a seven-member residents action committee (with two alternates) to facilitate and direct an incorporation study.

Tyrell Smith of Pahrump Valley pitched a five-hitter to help power the No. 3-seeded Trojans to an 8-5 victory against No. 2 Boulder City Thursday, in the Southern Nevada Class 3-A baseball regionals at the high school field. Brian Slater, 18, is the Eagles' batter.

SOUTHERN REGIONALS: Trojans clip the Eagles
Pahrump Valley first-year baseball coach Doug Marion has believed all season that he "has a good team and could win the big game."
