Two major events are scheduled Saturday, with the youth of the Pahrump Valley the focus of attention.

At 9 a.m. at Honeysuckle Park, the Pahrump Little League will conduct its Opening Day ceremonies, as well as begin the 2007 season.

At 6 p.m. in the Nugget Hotel-Casino Convention Center, the Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Founders Association will hold its annual Quarter Auction.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit junior golf programs.
