The United Way of Pioneer Territory's 2007 special event schedule for Pahrump is as follows:

March 19 -- St. Patrick's Day celebration, Petrack Park (parade starts at Mans Elementary at noon), 1 to 5 p.m.

May 6 -- Cinco de Mayo party, Petrack Park, 11 a.m. to dusk.

June 24 -- Golf tournament, Mountain View Golf Course, 7:30 a.m. start.

Aug. 20 -- Luau, Honeysuckle Park, 6 to 11 p.m.

Oct. 13 -- Oktoberfest, Honeysuckle Park, noon to dusk.

Nov. 2 -- Cheers for Volunteers Banquet, Saddle West, 6 to 9:30 p.m.

All profits from these events stay here for use in the local grants program. They are distributed to different youth programs (like Little League) and public entities (schools for special programs and scholarships) and to social service agencies, such as Quilts for Cancer, the Pahrump Senior Center and WestCare.
