Looking for something for your children to do this summer, if they don't play golf, or baseball, or softball ... or even get bored with swimming?

Consider roller hockey, if they like their action fast and furious -- and they like to play indoors with air conditioning.

Roller hockey leagues are in operation at the Skate Zone on Calvada Boulevard in Pahrump, with more than 70 boys and girls on eight teams in three divisions competing.

The divisions are determined by ages, including 7 and under; 13 and under, and 14 and up.

In the 7U Division are the Sharks and Dragons. On the Sharks are Briara Marquez, Brayden Williams, Wesley Hamlin, Bradley Hamlin and Tristan Maughan. On the Dragons are Valerie Richards, Coby Richards, Kayson Oakley, and Noah Jubinsky.

The youngest players in the league compete at 5:15 p.m. each Monday.

The Green Godzillas and Lightning are in 13U. The Godzillas include James Pena, Ashley Arnold, Sierra Tucsnak, Jagger Roche, Eric Arnold, Colby Garnica, Tristan Berry, Michael Aviles, Christopher Moffat, Clayton Bullock, and coach Chris Roche.

On the Lightning, coached by Raimy Richards, are Chelsea Wills, Brianna Williams, Sam Tucsnak, Ricky Wills, Ryan Hammar, Scotty Maughan, James Witten, Dylan Wilson, Danielle Witten, and Amber Wills.

The Lightning defeated the Godzillas 7-6 Monday.

There are four teams in the 14-and-Over Division: Warriors, Kings, Sharks, and Cobras.

The Warriors are Raimy Richards, Mundo Veloz, Hayden Vaughan, Bill Vaughan, Dylan Driggers, Bud Taylor, Cory Crihfield, Justin Driggers, Ana Swiger, and Josh Wendt.

The Kings include Dan Appleby, Chase Errett, Gene Raquepau, Austin Haynes, Janeen Goodlow, Kevin Arnold, Brad Schaeffer, Dawson Oakey, and Colter Oakey.

Doug Maughan, Isaac Parsons, Greg Severts, Will Gent, Justin Gent, Jordan Gent, Adam Witten, Eric Arnold, and Drew Witten are the Sharks.

Casey Lomax, A.J. Belluomini, Austin Eyserbeck, Ashley Kennedt, Dominic Trudeau, Ben Greene, Gabe Veloz, Ken Swiger and Shane Lindemann are the Cobras.

The next 14-and-over games are Tuesday at the Skate Zone, with the Sharks playing the Cobras at 5:45 p.m. and the Warriors facing the Kings at 6:45.

Subsequent games will be played July 3-10--24-31 and Aug. 7-14. No games are scheduled July 17.

In Tuesday games, the Warriors outscored the Cobras 16-8, while the Kings edged the Sharks 9-8, as Dan Appleby scored six goals for the winners.
