Herb and Bonnie Barris celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary June 21, 2007.
They met and married in New Mexico where they lived with their family. A job transfer with the telephone company for Herb moved the family to Las Vegas in 1963 and then another transfer moved them to Pahrump in 1976.
They have three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They are both retired and are enjoying a new venture in their wedded future.
