No top bowler to be named

Because of a lack of nominations, there will be no male or female bowler of the year named at the Pahrump Nugget.

Nominations were open toward the end of the 2006-2007 winter season, but only five -- three for men and two for women -- were received, so the project has been canceled.

Wilby hits 300; so does Severt

Leon Wilby bowled a 300 game in the Nugget Bowl Match Singles League in late May. He finished with a 929 series, including a 244 game.

Dustin Severt had a 300-246-225--771, while Jim Reynolds had a 299 game.
