The following awards were given out for athletics and drama.

Drawing, sketching class

The Pahrump Arts Council will present "Learning to Draw and Sketch," from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pahrump Valley Museum.

The class, for ages 10 and up, is part of PAC's Art for Young People program. The class will be taught by artist Janet Toy and Bernie Toy will be a live model.

Pre-register by calling the PAC office at 751-6776.

Democratic meeting

The Pahrump Democrat Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Bob Ruud Community Center.

Yaa-Hoos meeting

The Yaa-Hoos, a group for ladies of all ages who want a little time to themselves, will meet to play Clue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Pahrump Community Library, 701 East St.

AYSO registration

AYSO 2007 registration will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 30.

Players born between Aug. 1, 1988, and July 31, 2003, are eligible to sign up. A copy of the child's birth certificate must be brought to registration. You can also pre-register your child at www.eayso.org.

Manse Elementary registration

Manse Elementary School's kindergarten registration will start June 15 and continue until June 25. Fall registration for kindergarten through the fifth grade will begin Aug. 6.

Registration hours for all three sessions are 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call 727-5252 for more information.
