Invade Mexico, solve immigration

Amnesty means you let someone who broke the law get off the hook.

How many illegals do you think would pay a fine and go back to their country and wait in line?

Are you one of the 25 percent of people who think America is fine? Obviously you must be a Bush lover; you must have no clue of real life.

When people sneak across our borders, they do break a minor law; but when they use other people's Social Security numbers to work unlawfully, that is a felony. When they ignore income tax, that is also a felony.

How come when you hang out at Home Depot and try to work for cash the IRS does not show up when you get off and demand 20 percent? They take it from regular Americans who are working their jobs.

This is a very touching subject, Mr. Esquire. What happened over 60 years ago? The Nazis rounded up over 20 million Jews -- are you telling me America could not do that now? Appalling as it seems, we would send them home, not kill them, so don't tell me it could not be done.

We bring home all our troops from Iraq, Germany, Japan, England, Korea and anywhere else they're deployed. That's over 200,000 troops who protect our country and our border.

Do you know what happens if you sneak over the border into Israel? Do you know what happens if you sneak over the border into Iraq, the country we are propping up? You get shot.

So my question to you Mr. Jackson, "Esquire," do you want them to live with you? If you can't check their background, how do you know who they are?

The only solution to the problems in our country is revolution or secession, just like Vermont.

The American people want our country back. The government has abandoned us. Democrats/Republicans are the same -- big business, low wage illegals -- and "Mr. Esquire," I think you stand with them. It seems to me no one in Congress has figured it out. We want out of Iraq and the illegals out of our country.

How could you expect people to wait in line just because their country is not connected to ours. "Mr. Esquire," get a life. Don't you think we could help our country by invading Mexico instead? Their government is more corrupt than Iraq. Then we could solve immigration.

Thanks for the care

Kudos to Dr. Michael Reiner and Nathan Adelson Hospice:

Around the first of March, the Cancer Center of Las Vegas informed me that I had melanoma cancer on my face, chest and neck and that I might have six months to a year to live. That is why I am writing this letter.

In a routine visit to Family Physicians of Southern Nevada, Dr. Michael Reiner and I discussed this prognosis and he referred me to hospice. In his position as a medical director for Nathan Adelson Hospice, he has set up a pain management program for me, and so far, it has worked very well.

Since I am unable to eat normally due to issues with my throat, I get my food by tube feedings through my stomach. Hospice provides me with the food I need for this and delivers it to my home. This system is basically my life support, and it is working very well.

The level of care that I have received has been great.

I receive weekly visits by the nurses and CNAs and also visits by a social worker and chaplain. The nurses monitor my blood on a regular basis, and they take care of my medications, including the pain medications.

Dr. Reiner has made regular visits to me in my home. I am very impressed with the level of care I receive from the Nathan Adelson Hospice staff and I would recommend them to anyone in a similar situation as mine.

Thanks for nothing

July 7, not so lucky for me thanks to the Mr. -- Mrs. -- Ms. hit and run driver in the Wal-Mart parking lot (in front of the Nevada Federal Credit Union).

I waited a year to buy my new (to me) old 1986 Lincoln Town Car that was in darn good shape 'til now.

Remember, what goes around comes around!

Although being a hit and run driver, you're probably not smart enough to be reading the newspaper.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Mahriah's S.P.C.A.

Being sad, crying, writing poems or speaking to people in passing means you care, but it has to have all of us in Nye County do so much more.

I've watched the care of animals get worse and worse. It was bad 15 years ago when I moved here, and now it's 50 times worse.

The pound is small, with little improvement.

Nye County has put many people on the payroll; I've lost count of how many. Believe me, I've spoken to most of them with a lot of talk and no action. We have one animal control officer for most of Nye County.

Animals are running at large, slowly being burned alive on chains without food or water. They are provided with plastic houses passed off as shelters that are twice as hot inside as out.

Horses are trapped and sizzling in the midday heat, while some idiots beg ignorance and others proclaiming horses don't need shade.

If anyone really wants to stop this clear and out of control torture, then step up and let us know you really care. Give your name to everyone. Talk to anyone and everyone who will listen.

Be proud you have the guts to stand up and speak out. Don't waste precious time just because you're mad at your neighbor, but do report all animal cruelty.

All churches, listen close. You love God and His creation, then show it by finding out just how to help.

It's time to enforce the laws we have and to expect more from those who are paid very nice salaries, apparently for doing a whole lot of nothing.

Call Maureen at 727-9788 or Sarah at 727-5960. Only the serious need call.
