Roderick Dewitt, 38, learned that you can't hide from the long arm of the law, July 11 when he was found by sheriff's Dep. James Erickson at his residence, attempting to hide behind a picture on an entertainment center.

The deputy was looking for Dewitt because he had been dispatched to investigate a burglary of D & D Manufacturing.

The owner of the business, Patty Gangadharan, told the deputy she was missing a Skil saw from the tool shed on the property.

The owner further advised the deputy that Dewitt, a former employee of the company, kept asking her for money or offering to sell her things because he needed the money.

The deputy then went to the business on Thousandaire Boulevard but, despite several attempts to contact Dewitt, was told that he had left in a maroon vehicle.

Dewitt was later located in Comstock Park, but he did not answer the door despite several attempts by the deputy.

Once Dewitt was located behind the entertainment center, the deputy arrested him and booked him on charges of burglary, obstructing, resisting, petit larceny, and a felony warrant he had out on him for non-sufficient funds.

Dewitt is being held on $16,896.
