NCSA league continues

The Nye County Sports Association youth basketball league will continue through Aug. 17, in two age groups.

The 13-18-year-olds include Team 3 (All Star Realty), Team 4 (A.L.L. Sport Apparel). Also in the league are Team 1 (Horizon Market) and Team 2 (Super Burrito).

The 10-12-year-olds compete with Team 3 (Papa John's), Team 4 (Dr. Leak). Team 1 is Michael Taylor, D.C., while Team 2 is Precious Properties.

Games will be played Thursday and Friday, as well as July 19-20-26-27 and Aug. 2-3-9-10-16-17 in both divisions.

Football camp at Clarke MS

Rosemary Clarke Middle School and Pop Warner football, along with former NFL player Chad Ward, will hold a one-day camp Saturday at the middle school.

The camp will be for children 5 to 13 years old and will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $25 per player.

A half-day camp for youngsters 5 and 6 will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; the cost is $15 per player.

Cash only will be accepted as payment on the day of the camp.

Pool league continues

The Pahrump Valley Pool League 9-Ball League lead through July 3 was shared by Town Hall No. 1 and Arnie's No. 2, each with 29 victories in 50 starts.

Arnie's No. 1 is at 28-22, Oscar-Rusty's No. 1 26-24, Town Hall No. 3 25-25, Eve-N-Keel 24-26, Our Bar 22-28, Town Hall No. 2 22-28, and Rusty's No. 2 at 21-29.

The top shooter is Antonio Cortez at 8-2; at 7-3 are Mike Provenza, Richardo Cortez, Gary Barcus, Colden Bullock, and Chad Taylor.

All-Nighter July 28-29

The annual Pahrump Softball All-Nighter One-Pitch Slow-Pitch Softball tournament will be played July 28-29 at Petrack Park.

The games will begin at 6 p.m.

The entry fee is $150 per team that are PVSA registered (for the 2007 season). It is $175 for non-members.

It is open to all men's and women's teams in Class E.
