Dorothy Richardson

Dorothy Louise Richardson, 79, passed away July 4, 2007, in Pahrump.

She was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a resident of Pahrump for 17 years.

She worked as a salesperson in a jewelry store and was an avid golfer and belonged to many golf clubs. She had a love for jewelry, acquiring quite a collection over the years. She was a member of the Furnace Creek Golf Club.

Her daughter Lori Rossi from Sequin, Wa. Survives her.

She's happy now that she has joined the love of her life, her husband William; son, and grandson also named William who preceded her in death.

No services will be held per her request. In lieu of flowers, donations will go to American Cancer Society (07/04/07).

Phillip Carter

Phillip Edward Carter passed away July, 4, 2007. He was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Michigan and was a resident of Pahrump for 12 years.

He was a member of Local 720 Stage Hand Union.

His wife, Penni Jean, of Pahrump; son Phillip and daughter Wendy, both of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Virginia Vahl and Shirley Pickett, of Virginia survive him

His Services are pending. (07/04/07)


John DEMarco

John Joseph DEMarco, 66, passed away after a long illness on July 5, 2007 in Pahrump.

He was born July, 1940 in Vineland, NJ. He was a ten-year resident of Pahrump, which reminded him of the farmlands of South Jersey.

He served in the Air Force for 22 years as a radar technician and truck driver retiring from the service in 1981. He moved his considerable skills with tools and machinery into his own yard and garden service, first in Las Vegas, and then in the Pahrump Valley.

He was a faithful and active member of his church, serving as a lay eucharistic minister and food bank coordinator.

He is survived by his wife Fran of Pahrump, sisters Barbara and Margaret, brothers Frank and Paul of Pahrump; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is sadly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Funeral mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of the Valley Catholic Church; burial to follow at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1 p. m. in Boulder City.
