Joan and John Sturgeon

Congratulations to Joan and John Sturgeon who celebrated their 50th anniversary in Soldotna Alaska on June 8 2007.

They have lived in Pahrump since 1964. John came to Pahrump in 1963 when he worked for Erby Construction, who was contracted to bring the power from Hoover Dam to Pahrump. He liked it so much he stayed.

John and Joan also worked for the Nevada Test Site until they retired.

They had a steak dinner party with friends at the senior center in Soldotna with balloons, cake and a big wish for many more.

Joan and John Sturgeon own Bookworm Haven and have two local daughters; Kaye Valdes, and Melodie Eleogram, who are sorry they missed their parent's party

They have three grandchildren, Jessica, Bryan, and Allison.
