4 teams left in 'Little' playoffs

Pahrump Little League's 9-10-year-old all-star baseball teams had their problems in the District 4 tournament in Las Vegas, losing all four games at Seastrand Park.

Pahrump Team 1 lost 7-0 to Lone Mountain Blue and 15-0 to Summerlin North, while Team 2 fell 8-0 to Summerlin South and 21-0 to Lone Mountain Blue.

That double-elimination tournament ends July 10. Still in action are Peccole Park, Cheyenne White, Mountain Ridge, Summerlin South, Western, Lone Mountain Blue, Lone Mountain Gold and Summerlin North.

Pahrump's 10-11 team is at Childrens Memorial Park at Lone Mountain Saturday, facing Western at 5:15 p.m. on Field 1.

Also in that double-elimination tournament (which concludes July 14) are Summerlin North, Mountain Ridge, Lone Mountain, Cheyenne, Red Rock, Spring Valley and Peccole.

A win will move Pahrump into the winners' bracket quarter-finals at 7:30 p.m. Monday, while a loss will place the 10-11s in an elimination game at 5:15 p.m. Monday.

On the team, managed by Roy Uyeno, are Aukai Alameda, Jonathon Arriola, Doug Booth, Nicholas Doubleday, Jared Groene, Brian Highland, Matthew Hughes, Izaiah Lyons, Kasen Muncreif, Isack Rodriguez, James Shepard, Chad Uyeno, and Kyle Walker.

The Major Division (11-12s) play at 5:15 p.m. Friday against Summerlin North at Vista Park in Summerlin.

A win will move Pahrump into the winners' bracket quarterfinals at 5:15 p.m. Saturday; a loss will drop the 11-12s into the elimination bracket at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Also in the tournament are Cheyenne, Red Rock, Lone Mountain, Summerlin South, Spring Valley, Western, Peccole and Mountain Ridge.

The team is managed by Dave Clasen and includes Dakota Ostrenger, Jordan Tapp, Rodney Torres, Keith Bradshaw, Destin Derouin-Rayner, Kevin Hernandez, Micah Nauck, Jacob Beraldo, Josh Marshall, Adam Clasen, Louren King, Wyatt Williams, and Tyler Mulvey.

The Junior (13-14) All-Stars play at 5 p.m. Saturday against Cheyenne at Childrens Memorial Park at Lone Mountain.

The Pahrump team will play at 7:30 p.m. Monday if it wins, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday if it loses.

Also in the tournament are Summerlin, Spring Valley, Mountain Ridge, Peccole, Red Rock and Lone Mountain.

The Pahrump team is managed by Ed Martinez and includes Alex Davidson, Tommy Eaton, Joseph Hallenback, Bobby Hurley, Eduardo Martinez, Joey McCaw, Sam Morrow, Aaron Pike, Ryan Pike, Ty Thomas, and Mike Pichor.

The Senior Division tournament is July 13-18 at Childrens Memorial Park at Lone Mountain.

Pahrump is entered, along with Summerlin and Red Rock.

Pahrump plays Summerlin at 5 p.m. July 13, with the winner to play Red Rock at 5 p.m. July 14. Other games in the double-elimination tournament are July 16-17-18.

Brandon Bietar manages the Pahrump team, which includes Jarret Holley, Cody Nielsen, Ronald Torres, Danny Cazier, Daniel Carter-Nash, Kent Jasperson, Tyler Lepley, Michael Gonzalez, Corey Veloz, Ethan Wald, and Garrett Darr.
