Las Vegas Canyon Springs and Mineral County Hawthorne are the leaders in the Pahrump Valley Times Nevada High School boys' basketball ratings, with three weeks remaining in the regular season.

The final boys' ratings will be published Feb. 16; the girls' rankings, which appear each Wednesday, will conclude Feb. 14.

Canyon Springs is 23-2 and is ranked ahead of Reno Galena, 12-9, in the 4-A/3-A ratings. Completing the top five are Reno Bishop Manogue, 14-5, Las Vegas Palo Verde, 15-2, and Hug, 17-4.

No Class 3-A teams are among the top 10. Las Vegas Faith Lutheran, winner of the last two state 3-A championships, is among the teams under consideration for a top 10 berth. There are 10 teams on that list.

In the 2-A/1-A ratings, Hawthorne, 18-4, is first, with Dayton Silver Stage, 18-4, second.

In the top five are Lake Mead Christian Academy, 17-4; Pahranagat Valley Alamo, 15-6, and Pershing County Lovelock, 13-8.

Lake Mead and Alamo are 1-A teams.

Tonopah fell out of the top 10, with the Muckers among the teams under consideration.
