Patricia Diamond and Sue Steinke await your arrival to see the great selection of artificial plants they have at Interior Gardens, 2301 E. Winery Road, next to the Shell Station on Highway 160.

There have been a lot of improvements in the world of artificial plants. New technology has allowed the development of innovative fabrics and plastics, including PolyBlend, which allow the plants to last longer, slows fading, and can even be used outdoors.

Diamond and Steinke have lived in Pahrump for five years and opened the business two years ago. Experienced in the world of plants, Diamond offers a complete home evaluation, for free, to help you design or redesign your surroundings. Steinke also has creative ideas to put the right plant in that little corner, or add life to your pot shelves.

"Customers can bring their own containers, even heirloom items, and we will create the perfect arrangement to accent the piece as well as the home. If we don't have the right container or desired plants, we will order them if they are available," said Diamond.

Steinke added, "We have five suppliers, some of which have unique items that we carry. Our store currently carries Polynesian, Tuscan, desert Southwest, contemporary, modern, and more."

These ladies will decorate any type of building and have worked with new model homes for AVCO, Spaulding, U Build It, Frazier, and more.

They have completed the research to identify what works best in different settings, especially homes with elevated ceilings.

They also work with local artists on other types of decorative work to integrate plants with iron and wall decorations. In addition, if requested, they provide some hints on how to keep pets from destroying the pieces.

Diamond said, "We go to the home to see what the customer has, then walk the store with them to determine taste and style, then, determine if their favorites will match."

Steinke added that "You should start by deciding on the basic plant idea and add as desired."
