Body shop gets all the dents out
By MARY BALDASANO
If you live in Pahrump, it's likely that at some point your vehicle will need some body work. That's when it's time to call the Auto Body Connection, but you'll need to know the new address. Mark and Sheri Forry own and operate the shop and have three employees. Previously located on Homestead Road, their new shop is at 2250 S. Highway 160. They're good at connecting the dots when repairing vehicles. Both Forrys were born and raised in Las Vegas, but like many of us were tired of seeing the demise of the "old" Las Vegas and moved to Pahrump in 2000. They are licensed and bonded to do auto repair (sometimes rebuilding), and are a designated repair facility for many insurance companies. "We guarantee better quality service, honesty and integrity, as well as guarantee our work for life," said Mark Forry. He recalled one customer who had what was left of his minivan brought from Oregon to Pahrump for Auto Body Connection to rebuild it. Only half of the van existed -- the rear had been taken off by an 18-wheeler. The owner knew he could trust the Auto Body Connection to do it right. Back in the day, if an automobile had damage to the frame or significant damage overall, it was considered a total loss and sent to the salvage yard. Forry said, "Most vehicles today can be repaired or rebuilt in segments, as parts are made in much different ways. Even unibody construction can be repaired as it is built in segments, which makes it easier to replace damaged parts. We can do just about anything when it comes to repair." Forry added, "We are trying to make sure everything comes out as it should, and that the customer is happy." The Auto Body Connection is also a designated repair facility for fire and police departments, General Service Administration vehicles and others. They repair any damage from simple chips and dents to major rebuilds ($100-$18,000), and all insurances are accepted. The shop can be contacted by calling 775-751-8881. |
